The Owner- Michal Maoz

Hi, my name is Michal and I'm the owner and chief designer of Aurtistic-Spectrum.
I am a 35yo mom of two wonderful boys, who are on the Autistic Spectrum and I am also diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome myself.
Since I grew up with no help or treatments for my difficulties and disabilities, I have decided as an adult to help as much as I can the kids and adults of the Autistic-Spectrum community to become independent and successful and be able to work and support themselves.

I  am working to help the Autistic Spectrum community in a few facets

Through the Internet:

  • I participate in forums and communities online and I help people and other parents to Autistic children to understand their kids better.
  • I opened a group on Cafemom online for moms of kids on the Spectrum- a place where they can ask questions and get answers that will shed light on how their kids think and see the world. You can check it at: www.Cafemom.com/group/asktheaspie
  • I also talk to adult Aspies (people with Asperger's Syndrome) and share my life experience with them in order to try to help as much as I can.
  • I am working towards spreading awareness of Autism spectrum disorders through my community page and my blog on Myspace.

Through the company:

  • I will sell jewelry that is created by me and by other people who are on the Autistic Spectrum and by that- give them a sense of accomplishment and hope for their future.
  • I will become a public-speaker in the Autistic Spectrum Disorders community. I will tell my story and will help spread awareness and hope for independence.

Through my Art:

  •  I have plans to publish a book of my poems about Asperger's Syndrome and plans of showing my paintings locally at first and then maybe nationally as well- all of which deal with the inner world of an Aspie.

I do hope that you and others will help me help other people on the Autistic Spectrum, by buying our products, by participating in my community page and group,  reading my blog and raising awareness to Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Thank you,

Michal Maoz
